About the Pastors

Rev. Karen and Jack Bales are the founders of Bread of Life Ministries. Together they have been called to minister unto the Lord, His people, and the world.

Rev. Karen is the pastor of Bread of Life Ministries, and the leader of the Christian worship team, "Companions of the Lamb". She is a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel through Greater Works School of Ministry in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Karen also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Edinboro University. Her love for the gospel has made room for her giftings to be used as a guest speaker and worship leader at Women's Aglow groups, retreats, and advances. God has blessed her with songs (that the Companions of the Lamb have recorded) of what He is doing in this present day.

Pastor Karen loves what the Lord has called her to do and waits with expectation of the greater things He is going to do through her. She desires that the Body of Christ give themselves in full surrender to God's will and His ways that they would be totally healed and made whole.

Jack Bales, husband and best friend to Pastor Karen, assists with the functions of the church, the worship team and the band, "Companions of the Lamb". He is very instrumental in helping with the new music and can be found playing quite an array of instruments or acting as the studio engineer in the recording of Companions of the Lamb CDs. He has also attended Edinboro University where he studied music.

Jack has the unique gifting of being able to do just about everything and anything. This he uses to worship the Lord with. Not only can he apply the mortar between the brick, but he is as the mortar that holds the things of the Lord together. He also awaits the greater things of the Lord to come to fruition in his life and the life of the church.
